The app is an instance of the Exposure Notifications Express platform developed by Apple and Google. Using Alaska COVID ENX is voluntary and free of charge. The more people who install and use it, the more effective it will be. nnAlaska COVID ENX is a voluntary service available on both iPhone and Android phones that helps slow the spread of COVID-19. If you have enabled Exposure Notifications on your phone, whenever you are within close proximity (approximately within 6 feet for 15 minutes based on Bluetooth signal strength), your phones will exchange secure, anonymous, randomly-generated tokens. If you test positive for COVID-19, you can share these anonymous tokens, which will send a notification to anyone with whom you have exchanged tokens with recently, notifying them of possible exposure.nnThe system was built with your privacy and security in mind. The system is anonymous and is opt-in. No locations are tracked. It doesn’t know your name and your identity will never be revealed to anyone. I live in North Carolina was downloading the North Carolina covid app. When it did so it also downloaded to ask Alaska cover app. Absolutely ridiculous clogging up phone with stuff you don't even need they don't care anymore
